Artist Statement: For
this assignment , the topic that chosen by me is Stress. Stress can be
define in many ways, but after from the research that I did, I chose wall
crack for my main theme of the artwork.
The whole wall shaking is
represent someone is stress who is having the symptom of anxiety
and
Nervous. I use the red color for the crack part because it represent the
energy
and raising of blood pressure especially when someone is stress.
For the black
background it is represent a situation in high stress mode.
Besides that,
the sound is from Skrillex ,First Of The Year. For the small
crack part , I use grey color and it contain the
statistical data from the
survey that I
study about stress among
first year students in an Indian
medical school. Then, the 3 data that I
chose is 76.6% of students
are facing overload with too much assignment,
64% difficulty
adjusting to the long hours of academic work and
26.6% of them felt
home sick. After the data shown on the screen
there will be a result
on the centre of the screen. The highest the
percentage there will be
more
complicated line at there, the lowest the percentage there will
be
less complicated line on the screen.
For the concept
board, I use splash because there are the another way that
represent stress
and the different tone of red color are represent different
type of stress.
Besides that, the black cracker wall is represent all kind of
emotion that
binding together will make us feel stress.

1. It's all colors rolled into one mass and stress is all kinds of emotions binding us into a ball.
2. Mood rings react to temperature changes in the skin, black means cold skin. Generally when you're nervous or stressed out, your fingers and extremities will be cold.
3. Black is no light, no sun, no warmth. Black is a somber color worn for funerals and quiet, sophisticated affairs.
4. Black moods are high stress moods.
Red
Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.
Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. It is a color found in many national flags.
Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions; it is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites. In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc). Red is widely used to indicate danger (high voltage signs, traffic lights). This color is also commonly associated with energy, so you can use it when promoting energy drinks, games, cars, items related to sports and high physical activity.

About Stress
Stress
What is stress?
Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you sense danger – whether it’s real or imagined – the body's defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” reaction, or the stress response.The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you. When working properly, it helps you stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress can save your life – giving you extra strength to defend yourself, for example, or spurring you to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident.
The stress response also helps you rise to meet challenges. Stress is what keeps you on your toes during a presentation at work, sharpens your concentration when you’re attempting the game-winning free throw, or drives you to study for an exam when you'd rather be watching TV.
But beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damage to your health, your mood, your productivity, your relationships, and your quality of life.
Stress symptoms: Effects on your body, feelings and behavior
Stress symptoms may be affecting your health, even though you might not realize it. You may think illness is to blame for that nagging headache, your frequent insomnia or your decreased productivity at work. But stress may actually be the culprit.Indeed, stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Being able to recognize common stress symptoms can give you a jump on managing them. Stress that's left unchecked can contribute to health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
Of course, if you're not sure if stress is the cause or if you've taken steps to control your stress but your symptoms continue, see your doctor. Your doctor may want to check for other potential causes.
Also, if you have chest pain, especially if it occurs during physical activity or is accompanied by shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, nausea, or pain radiating into your shoulder and arm, get emergency help immediately. These may be warning of a heart attack and not simply stress symptoms.

How do you respond to stress?
It’s important to learn how to recognize when your stress levels are out of control. The most dangerous thing about stress is how easily it can creep up on you. You get used to it. It starts to feels familiar even normal. You don’t notice how much it’s affecting you, even as it takes a heavy toll.The signs and symptoms of stress overload can be almost anything. Stress affects the mind, body, and behavior in many ways, and everyone experiences stress differently.
